I wrote this software, because I bought the Gigaset S685 IP wireless phone and want to regularly copy the contacts from my PC to it. On the PC I use Windows Contacts. Unfortunately the exported contacts (vCard files) are incompatible with the format the web UI of the phone understands (e.g. it does not understand all properties of vCard standard). Further Windows Contacts cannot put all contacts in a single vCard file - that is bad, because the web UI of the phone only takes a single vCard file as input. VCardMerger is a tool that combines multiple vCard files into one. Further it can replace the ‘+’ in phone numbers with any number (e.g. ‘00′). And it can skip certain entries (= remove them from the target vCard file) that are not supported by the device or program that should consume the merged vCard file.
